Measurement Run Order

Requires AMICS 5.2.1 or newer.
Customize the order in which measurements are executed during automated acquisition. By default, measurements run in the order they were created, but you can reorder them for efficiency or priority.

Accessing Run Order
Open the Measurement Run Order dialog from the Investigator ribbon → Run Order button.
Reordering Measurements
- Open the Run Order dialog
- Drag and drop measurements to change their execution order
- Click OK to apply the new order
Sort Options
Sort | Description |
|---|---|
By Specimen | Group measurements by specimen, then execute each specimen's measurements together |
By Experiment | Group measurements by experiment type |
Reset | Return to the original creation order |
Live Reordering
The run order can be changed even during active acquisition:
- Open the Run Order dialog while a measurement is in progress
- Reorder the remaining (not yet started) measurements
- Click OK — the new order takes effect for subsequent measurements
- The currently running measurement is not interrupted
Tip: Use live reordering to prioritize urgent specimens that arrived after acquisition started, without stopping the current measurement.
