Specimen Holder

during the installation of the amics system, holder designs will be provided for all holders purchased with the system these holders, in addition to other standard amics holders, will be displayed in the holder manager tab at the bottom of amics investigator from the sample manager interface users can choose different holders to use for analysis, by double clicking the holder shown in the holder manager, or selecting the holer and clicking the apply button note! amics does not have any mechanism to know which holder is or is not valid for the machine it is connected to it relies on the user to know which holder can be used for the connected equipment if an invalid older is used, amics will still attempt to drive the stage to the position specified by the holder design, and though in most cases instrumental stop should prevent damage to the equipment, care should still be taken to ensure holder designs are valid for the hardware in addition to selection of the holders, this interface can also be used to add, remove, or modify available holders these options are available using the holder manager menu, located in the middle of the image of investigator shown above the menu options from left to right are remove/delete the currently selected holder modify the currently selected holder, though only the name, center point, and rotation can be modified from this menu export the current holder design to a text file import a holder design from a text file example video for accessing the specimen holder layout, as well as creating or modify a specimen holder
