introduction reclassification of measurements is one of the most useful features and is unique in amics as the original x ray spectra for each analysis spot is retained allowing for more option in refining a classification method additionally, amics reclassification methods also include data processing steps developed in spectrum tree and touch up panel, which further adds flexibility for users to improve the material classification amics also offers users the ability to reclassify a single measurement by setting up a batch process to reclassify multiple measurements from multiple specimens usage guide there are multiple ways to batch reclassify one or more samples autonomously, all accessible via the amics process batch process samples can be accessed via the project management interface or using the batch menu dialog in the main menu ribbon project management batch reclassification the batch processing interface can be accessed by selecting the desired project level and right clicking the selected project to bring up additional menu items selecting the batch processing option from the pop up menu will bring up a pop up window to select which measurement data to include in the batch processing note amics will include all measurement data in the selected project, as well as all daughter projects this allows for both a quick and easy method to reclassify a large number of data but can also be confusing if the project management structure is not set out carefully amics will then bring up a standard windows folder interface for the user to decide where to save the batching file this batching file will contain information on the selected measurements for reclassification this file can then be used to quickly reclassify the same batch of measurements following this window, the amics batch application window will be opened to allow users to adjust how to reclassify and also some data exporting options further detailed information regarding the use of the amics batch application can be found in the sub document batch reclassification main menu button the batch reclassification can also be accessed via the main menu ribbon and the batch process button unlike accessing the amics batch application via the project manager panel, using the main menu ribbon button will directly bring up the amics batch application as such the user will need to either select an existing batching file or create a new file containing the measurement to be included in the batch processing aside from this the other operations are the same and can be found in the sub document limitations detail any limitations, known bugs, or other information that will impact the decision to use the feature be up front with the user so they can make a well informed choice on the use of the feature examples of feature reviewer status comments
