for many users running production level sample numbers, there is the ability to create a measurement list text offline which can then be imported directly into investigator, which will then populate a new specimen holder with specimens and measurements text file syntax any text file can be created and loaded into investigator, as long as it follows the formatting below in this example, any line starting with two "//" are comments and will be ignored by amics when importing into investigator, and are only used to help provide context to any particular line in this example, the first line is a comment describing the purpose of this text file the first active line needs to be the name of the specimen holder to be used for this batch of measurements the specimen holder name can be found in the holder manager tab at the bottom of investigator each following line represents another specimen with the required measurement and naming requirements the "\<hole name>" variable needs to match the name of the hole in the holder, which usually will be a number following this, the set of measurement methods can then be loaded including by adding the job measurement in the \<job template name> this will allow for one or more methods to be applied to the selected specimen to learn how to create a job template check out this https //app archbee com/docs/ulnx6skegc8ehmpkog5xe/otsz11p xqkrpkmyjub7h finally each specimen can have a unite name assigned by entering this into the \<sample name> variable once this text file is created, the specimen and measurement setting can then be imported into investigator using the layout manager
