feature selection mode amics feature selection has 3 selection modes select, deselect (unselect) and inverse select particles three different shapes are available to users to aid in their selection circle, rectangle and polygon 1\) select the desired selection mode 2\) select the desired shape 3\) to select particles, hold down the shift key and use the mouse and the right click button to select the desired area 4\) for the polygon shape, hold down the shift key and use the right mouse button to click on the measurement area to draw the polygon to finalise the polygon, the last click must be on the point of origin once the mouse cursor has returned to the point of origin, the polygon will show as a shaded polygon 5\) once the shaded polygon appears, click and the selected particle will show as boxed particles save a copy of data amics provides two ways to save a copy of data use the "save as" button on the toolbar to save a copy of the entire measurement with a new name, or select a sub set of the measurement and use the "save as new" button on the toolbar save as the "save as" button will make a copy of the data folder and all of it's contents to a new location with a new name you must select an empty folder location or make a new folder to write all data to selecting a folder location that has existing files may overwrite files this will not make a new top level folder location the new file must be opened for the changes to write choose to open in the current window or in a new instance opening in the current window will be similar to a "restore point" and all future work will be on the copy make a subset the "save as new" button on the far right of the processing toolbar will save the selection, and only the selection, as a new dataset select the area of interest by holding down the shift key and either clicking or dragging https //app archbee com/docs/kzh7xhlguqc5 wd3lzcen/dd90gyelaucrypuendpay selected objects will have a blue outline use shift+esc to deselect all objects right click for more selection options unpick the particle will remove the selection select all particles in the cell will pick all of the objects on the image tab or all of the objects in the calculations cell on the feature grid inverse the selection will make all objects active that are not selected and deselect the selected objects when the objects of interest are selected click on the "save as new" button
