Process Project Manager

the current project manager interface can be accessed via the first tab on the left hand side of the sub tab interface in the control window the current project management system is designed around a three tiered system, with the top level being a datastore following the datastore level are projects, with the datastore allowed to have an infinite number of daughter projects, and projects are infinitely nestable as such projects can be consider the same as the "folder" in the windows file folder ecosystem, and can be used to build the desired project structure following the project are then measurements, which represents a single folder containing the mre amics data files projects can have a infinite number of measurements as daughters, but measurements will terminate the project tree as no further projects can be branched from the measurement tier the project management interface can be controlled using the icons located at the top of the interface window (see figure above) there are six main controls to build and modify project in the project management the controls are as follow icon function this function will create either a new datastore, project or measurements which will depend which tiered item is selected in the main interface if the datastore is selected then a new datastore will be created, same for project in the case of a measurement being selected, a windows folder interface will open to allow user to selected a mre file this import function is used to include a batch of measurements into a project automatically when this button in pressed, a windows folder interface for the user to selected the root folder which contains all the mre for importing in the all daughter folders amics will automatically searhc through all sub folders searching for all mre files the "remove" function is similar to the "add" function above, and will remove whichever element has been selected in the main interface window a warning message will pop up before the item is removed from the project management system note! when removing a measurement, as the project manager has made a copy of the mre directly into the amics settings folder in programdata, removing the measurement will remove the copy of the data care should be taken in case of loss of updates when removing a measurement the checkbox option will activate and deactive checkboxes in front of each item in the project manager interface includes datastores, projects and measurements the purpose of the checkboxes is to allow users to multi select projects with measurements for furthe processing, such as reclassifcation the "fold" button acts to collapse or expand the all the daughter branches back to the datastore level and vice verse to expand the whole project management three the "refresh" button will allow amics to update the project management tree in case changes are made in the native windows folder system (i e addition or removal of projects or measurements) it should be noted that the current project management system will be changed to be compatible with the project management system created in the reports applications the future plan is to have all three applications share the same system, with reports having ultimate control of the project in addition to the top icon interfaces there are a number of right mouse click context items which are avaliable at each tier of the data datestore teir context menu the context menu at the datastore tier, which is accessed via right clicking a datastore, includes "new project " will create a new project layer as a daughter to the selected datastore "edit" will reopen the datastore properties window to allow adjustment of the selected datastore properties "remove" will delete the selected datastore and all daughter branches, a warning message will pop up before deletion "batch processing " will open the batch processing windows, and auto populate with all daughter measurements of the selected datastore "batch calculations " will open batch calculations window, and auto populate with all daughter measurements of the selected datastore "move up" and the "move down" option will move the selected datastore up or down in the project manager window "open folder location" will open a windows folder dialog pointing to the datastore locaton project teir context menu the context menu at the project tier, which is accessed via right clicking a project, includes "new project " will create a new project layer as a daughter to the selected project "import a measurement " will open a windows folder dialog allowing the users to select and mre data to be added as a daughter measurement to the selected project "import measurements " will open a windows folder dialog allowing the user to select a folder to import all experiment data daughter to the selecetd folder "edit" and "remove" function the same as in datastore, except it will affect the selected project "batch processing ", "batch calculations ", "move up", "move down" and "open folder location" funcation the same as in datastore, except it will affect all experiment data daughtered to the selected project measurement teir context menu the context menu at the project tier, which is accessed via right clicking a project, includes "open" will pop up an option for the user to open the selected experiment into the current instance of of process or open a new instance of process "open in process " wll open the selected experiment in a new process instance "edit", "remove", "move up", "move down" and "open folder location" funcation the same as in datastore, except it will affect the selected experiment
