Import/Export User Database

the user database is a key file containing all the material classification created by the users, so it is important to be able to both export the database, to secure and backup classification methods as well as importing a database to align different amics installs to have access to the same set of material classifications amics has a simple process to achieve both exporting and importing of the customized user databases amics investigator once investigator has booted up, click on the "classification" button at the menu ribbon this will bring up the classification methods interface, as well as change the top menu ribbon to the "standards" ribbon to export the user database click on the leftmost "export" button, which will bring up a windows file dialog in this dialog choose where to save the exported user database as a db file to import a user database, click on the leftmost "import" button, which will bring up a windows file dialog use this dialog to locate and open an exported user database amics will warn you at this time that importing the user data will overwrite the existing user database note! if not all the user database needs to be imported, and only a select subset of classification methods needs to be transferred, use the middle "import" button this will allow the option to open the exported database, but then select a subset of the classification methods to be merged with the current user database
