in some cases amics analysis can run for extended periods, and depending on the acquisition instrument the brightness and contrast of the primary image can drift due to changing machine conditions to account for this amics allows for monitoring the quality of the primary image, and can apply small adjustments to correct for minor drift to set up monitoring the primary image, the option is available in the measure settings tab in the main menu ribbon
