Image Mosaic (BSE Collection)

the image mosaic measurement mode is used in amics to collect large area imaging data only, which includes all video channels from the sem instrument (i e bse, se, or cl channels) as of version 3 3 0, amics can be set up to collect up to two video channels simultaneously, which can be used with this mapping mode to set up an image mosaic mapping analysis during the specimen addition menu, ensure the image moasic mode has been selected this will generate a new specimen with the image mosaic setting option in the measurement properties panel as with other measurements, the general properties will contain metadata regarding the specimens and measurement, as well as measurement termination options the only other section set within amics is the imaging section setting the field analysis sequence, the image "quality", which is equivalent to the sem scan speed, and the size, which determines the number of pixels per field that will impact the micron resolution of the final image amics will then collect image data from the fields set up in the main investigator screen note though there is an option to select specimen type and classification methods on the add specimen window, these options will not impact the image mosaic mapping mode
