Reduce Image Noise

the segmentation algorithm is by design very sensitive to any bse variations within the collected image in some cases, image noise not related to true sample compositional variation can contribute to a sample being over segmented to reduce this effect the reduce image noise option in the settings tab can be activated (fig 43) the option to set the reduce image noise in this example is a global setting and will apply this to all new measurements created if the reduce noise option does not need to be globally set for all new measurements, the same option can be selectively activated for only certain measurements this can be done from the measurement properties panel and the "extra setting" option (see figure 44)
